這是紹興一代的習俗，古時候的人在孩子出生時會釀一甕黃酒，伴隨孩子健康長大。
酒的命名也各有考究，一般來說：
生男孩叫狀元紅，等到科舉金榜題名時請客用。
生女孩叫女兒紅，等到嫁人時請客用。
所以歌曲內容便是圍繞在女兒婚嫁與父母的盼望與不捨，是一首充滿喜慶與懷舊情懷的歌。

我終於可以拿去給我爸看了😭之前我爸知道我在寫歌的時候就在跟我要作品，其實感覺蠻彆扭的，我一直知道他只聽台語歌，但他還是陪我一起看國語歌詞，所以這次我有台語歌可以給他聽啦😭超級開心的😭

The Story Behind Daughter’s Red (Nü Er Hong):
This tradition comes from the Shaoxing region of China.
In the old days, when a child was born, the family would brew a jar of yellow rice wine to celebrate the birth and bless the child’s healthy growth.
The naming of the wine carried special meaning:
If a boy was born, it was called Zhuangyuan Hong (“Scholar’s Red”), to be opened when he succeeded in the imperial examination.
If a girl was born, it was called Nü Er Hong (“Daughter’s Red”), to be opened and shared on her wedding day.
So this song centers around the bittersweet emotions of a daughter’s marriage — her parents’ joy, pride, and tender reluctance.
It is a song filled with nostalgia, blessing, and the warmth of family love.

I can finally show this one to my dad. 😭
When he first learned I was writing songs, he kept asking to hear something from me.
It always felt a bit awkward, because he only listens to Taiwanese songs — yet he still patiently read my Mandarin lyrics with me.
So this time, I’m truly overjoyed to finally have a Taiwanese song for him to hear. 😭
Through this collaboration, I also realized how too many poetic images can weaken emotional resonance, and learned a lot about the subtleties of Taiwanese lyric writing.
