Woke up to sunlight brushing my skin

Same old streets, same cycle again

Clock ticking fast, no time to pretend

Dreams in my chest, bills never end

Sweat on my brow, dust on my shirt

Smile through the struggle, hide the hurt

Loose change in my hand, hope in my chest

No time to break, just give it my best

Now the sky turns gold, I can breathe again

Stacking coins just to make it till the end

Holding on tight, yeah I passed the test

It’s okay now, I just need to rest...

Engines cry, the city screams

But I keep walking through broken dreams

Late night noodles, half-lit rooms

I still believe when the world assumes

My pockets light, but my soul stays rich

Life ain’t sweet, but I won’t switch

Half a smile, half a breath

But I keep movin’ with what I’ve got left
