My father’s a Lion and says everything the light touches is his kingdom.

He’s never gonna stop reigning so to the savanna plains imma bring them

Praises cuz of what he has done and what he does

Liftin the poor from the dust

And the needy from the ash heap

Bringing us out of the depths of the deep

Giving us a family to call home

Not leaving us alone

Filling our hearts with love

And giving us a spark to contrast the dark

There are so many reasons to praise

The One that never ceases to amaze

But wait, didn’t he tell you not to go to the bad lands?

Yeah but what about that man?

Surely the sun still shines there so why not go see

Maybe you will see why I think we shouldn’t always be praising

The One that claims to be King

I don’t know, I was told not to go over there, it might not be safe for me

If God’s been so great till now then he will surely protect thee

Aight let’s go then, and yeah imma see what you mean

Ain’t nothing that can be so bad as to leave out a reason

To praise the King in every season

Hahaha, you will see

Come see darkness and pain

Revelry and distress and shame

You want it, we got it

Things to mask what damage has caused

Problems

Chaos and it happens often

And I’m not trying to hide this

It’s out in the open for all to see and miss

The joy of the savanna plains

Cuz that ain’t present here

Instead there is a spirit of fear

Just watching what others are going through

Is enough to put you

In a state of mental paralysis

Watching death is enough to stop you in your tracks

So why think that you are entitled to more than what the bad lands have to offer?

The bad lands are everywhere and just cuz you related to the King don’t mean you won’t suffer

Aight man, you might be right on some of that stuff, but that’s not the half of it

There is no power in what you say because of what the King did:

Dying on the cross for my sins and rising from the dead

That act from the King cat gives me righteousness just by simply believing

Yeah there might be pain in the badlands but its temporary

Because my forever home is in the good lands where there is none of the things you mentioned that are scary

And while I wait here and sometimes get the opportunity to talk with you

I got tons of ammunition from the King cat’s book to make your words poof like smoke on Q

Cuz the worst the badlands has to offer is death

And even in death I have the best

Because to live is King cat, mang

And to die is gain

And I ain’t got that spirit of fear

Na man, get that outta here

Instead I got the spirit of the King cat, which you’ll find

Is of power, love, and a sound mind

And oh yeah, the King cat already warned me that I would have trouble in the badlands

But he also said to take heart because he overcame it, man

So why don’t you go run away

You just a hyena and the King cat gonna come back any day

Cuz while I’m here imma set up my post and praise

Seems like when I do that my focus changes

And the hyenas run away
