I admit

I so often

Can be a pessimist

I can be overwhelmed by

All the things that hit

It seems like I can’t get ahead

When I start to feel like I have a breakthrough

That’s when things breakdown

I’m running out of WD-40 and duct tape

to keep things rolling around

Im tired of all the routine

And what’s required of me

I’m just trying to make ends meet

I’m not asking for anything

Extra special

Maybe just some relief

Something that can bring

Happiness to me

I can see what others have

And I admit I can feel envy

All I got are things I can barely afford to keep

And I can hardly afford to feed

All of the mouths in my family

Another reason to count blessings because we can count on the Lord

God is over all

And promised eternal life through faith in his Son Jesus Christ

In Him are riches untold

Perfect peace

Love and hope and grace
