Peter.exe: Load Failed
Peter is livestreaming. "Never grow up."
The chat floods: #StayInNeverland
Wendy frowns. She has rent due. Unread emails. Reality waiting.
She opens settings, tries to log out.
System message: "Growth disabled."
Peter smiles. His laugh is auto-generated.
She presses ‘Log Out,’ but the button is decorative.
She holds her breath. Tries pulling the plug. Closing the window. Waking up.
Pixels glitch. The screen flickers.
She forces the log-out.
The world goes black for a moment.
She opens her eyes.
The mirror reflects— She is older. By a minute. By a lifetime.
Perhaps she is free. Perhaps—

Log Out
Peter’s streaming, neon bright,
Lost Boys chanting, stay online.
Wendy stares, rent overdue,
Clock is broken, ticking skewed.
She tries to exit, tries to breathe,
But the button won’t set her free.
Log out, log out, but the screen won’t break,
Click the button, but I’m stuck in place.
Looping time, static space,
Am I dreaming, or erased?
Log out, log out, but the world won’t fade,
Loading, loading—stuck in Neverland’s maze.
Echoes glitch, pixels stray,
Is it real, or replay?
Peter’s laughing, pre-recorded,
Filters flawless, face distorted.
Wendy wonders—will she change,
Or does growing up mean glitch remains?
She pulls the plug, tries to scream,
But the pixels still repeat.
Log out, log out, but the screen won’t break,
Click the button, but I’m stuck in place.
Looping time, static space,
Am I dreaming, or erased?
Log out, log out, but the world won’t fade,
Loading, loading—stuck in Neverland’s maze.
Echoes glitch, pixels stray, Is it real, or replay?
Blackout, silence, fractured code,
Mirror cracks, her face unfolds.
A second older, a lifetime gone,
Reality loads—but feels all wrong.
The screen flickers, echoes stray,
She is older, but the night won’t change.
Perhaps she’s free. Perhaps—
