那一夜，在擺滿豐盛年菜的餐桌上，我看見了香菜的身影，卻不見曾經的長輩。他們因生命的有限性，無法再參與這場在人間舉辦的團圓飯。回憶起童年時光，家中的長輩總愛守著 Z 頻道，不是摔角，就是《吉宗評判記・暴れん坊将軍》。當時年幼的我不明白其中的樂趣，只覺得電視機總被長輩佔據。直到今年 1 月，朝日電視台推出了全新的《新・暴れん坊将軍》，熟悉的旋律與畫面，讓我再次想起那些與長輩共度的時光。於是，我寫下這首歌，以此懷念我的長輩，以及那段童年時電視機總被長輩霸佔的日子。
That night, at a dining table filled with an abundance of festive New Year's dishes, I saw the presence of cilantro, yet the elders who once sat there were absent. The finite nature of life had kept them from attending this reunion feast held in the realm of the living. Looking back on my childhood, I often saw my elders glued to Channel Z, watching either wrestling or Abarenbo Shogun. As a child, I never understood what was so fascinating about it—I only knew that the TV was always occupied by them. Then, this January, when TV Asahi released the new Shin Abarenbo Shogun, the familiar melodies and scenes brought back memories of my elders. That nostalgia inspired me to write this song, as a tribute to my late elders and the childhood days when the television was forever claimed as theirs.
