Anxiety (alternate title “Demon Within”) explores the terrain of anxiety as both a psychological struggle and a spiritual problem. Clinically, anxiety often arises from intrusive thoughts, patterns forged by fear, trauma, or imbalance in the nervous system. These thoughts feel real, immediate, and overwhelming. Yet, as many contemplative traditions remind us: you are not your thoughts...

The Upanishads speak of the Self (Ātman) as the silent witness, untouched by mental turbulence. In Buddhism, thoughts are likened to passing clouds or flickering lanterns, impermanent, conditioned, and ultimately not-self (anattā). What we call “the demon” is often just the echo of unintegrated mindstates, seeking attention, not domination.

To name the demon is the first act of power. To observe it without identification, that is liberation. Anxiety becomes the teacher; the pain becomes a gate. The song echoes this: not as surrender to fear, but as an alchemical confrontation that may one day give birth to stillness.

👽: In this one, as in others, I also speak from personal experience. Years ago, I suffered from this "demon." Work, problems, and life circumstances sometimes overwhelm us, but it's possible to transcend. In my specific case, knowledge was the instrument of liberation, but in many cases, treatment with a qualified professional is indispensable. The symbol I keep of this transcendence of mine is having nails today, something that a few years ago were just fragments bitten down to the maximum. Hahaha
